Friends of Music

Supporting the Music Ministries of Saint Luke's Parish

The people of Saint Luke’s Parish have a wealth of gifts, among them, musical talent, beautiful facilities and two outstanding new organs.  As with all gifts, God asks us to be good stewards of them – to use them to the best of our abilities, continually improve them, and to share them with others. 

It is for these reasons that the leadership of the parish recently established Friends of Music.  Its mision is to grow our choir in numbers, ability, experience, repertoire, faith and confidence, and to share our gifts beyond our walls.  Its vision is that, in time, Saint Luke’s becomes a known and respected center for excellent and inspiring music for the entire Darien community through a series of choral and orchestral presentations that are open to the public and financed by both parish and public.  

Toward this end, Saint Luke's has created a Friends of Music Fund, a restricted endowment which will accept donations of any size and at any time from anyone, for any reason – whether moved by heart or mind or Spirit.  If you believe in the beauty and power of Music, we urge you to be a Friend and make a donation.  You may <click here> to donate on line.  Or you may mail a check to the church made out to Saint Luke's Parish with the notation "Friends of Music."  Or you may contact Cindy Scam in the finance office at 203-655-1456 / cindy.scam@saintlukesdarien.org to contribute by credit card or other means.
