May 26: Keeping Faith in Time of WarRev. Richard Futie
Spiritual advisor to the Navy Seal Recruiting District and Chaplain of the W. Connecticut Navy League, Father Futie, Pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Stamford, will speak on his work wit the Navy Seals. Father Futie also serves on the boards of Stamford's Hospital, Regional Catholic Schools and the West Side Revitalization District and is chaplain to the Police Dept. and Yacht Club.
June 2: Human Trafficking in NYC?
Jimmy Lee, Executive Director of Restore NYC
Yes, human trafficking in our own backyard does exist. Jimmy Lee will address the underlying causes of exploitation and oppression of women that leads to HIV/AIDS and human trafficking and will offer suggestions on what the Christian community can do about it. With a background in sociology and an MBA, Jimmy went from the world of banking to the health industry in Africa, China and Russia before coming to Restore NYC in 2008.
