Person-to-Person
Person-to-Person is a volunteer-driven, community-supported agency which, through the sharing of goods and talents, responds to individuals and families who lack the basic necessities or resources to improve their lives. P2P volunteers are the lifeblood of the agency and perform essential functions at all levels, from managing programs to scheduling and meeting with clients, picking up donated food and clothing, sorting food and clothing for the Emergency Food Pantry and Clothing Center or serving on the Board of Directors and other volunteer committees. Whether an adult, in high school, middle school or college, retired or working full-time there is an opportunity for all who would like to volunteer. For more information about volunteer opportunities, visit the P2P website.

Habitat for Humanity's First Affordable Housing Project in Stamford

Feed My Starving Children
Help pack nutritious food that will be distributed to starving children around the world. Any age is welcome. For more information, visit the website.

Dove Box Holiday Food Program
November-December
Carry boxes of packed donated food to cars. Drive boxed food to distribution site. Ages 12 and older. Every year Person-to-Person organizes a special food drive in which Saint Luke's and many other churches and synagogues participate. White paper doves are chosen by parishioners who then shop for food and gift wrap the food in boxes. These boxes are then delivered to families who would otherwise go without food during the holiday season. For more information about this program, visit the P2P website.

Homefront
On the first Saturday in May, Saint Luke's Parish assembles a team to participate in a Homefront. As St. Luke's Parish has done for over 20 years, we will be pitching in to help a homeowner in a neighboring community to get their residence squared away, making it safer, warmer, and friendlier. Homefront, year after year, has proven a wonderful testament to the outreach spirit of our community. Sometimes the most important task we provide is filling a stream of dumpsters. Sometimes it is much more than that. If you are 14 or older, please consider setting aside this day for some hard work and a lot of good will. For more information, visit the website.

Sign me up! I would like to get involved in Outreach opportunities!
