Adult Spiritual ministries

Women's Retreat

From Friday afternoon, October 1 through Sunday noon, October 3, we will be taking a break from the whirlwind of fall activities—demanding, as they do, so much of our energy.  This weekend is for being calm together with friends, and refreshing that spirit of sisterhood that has characterized our lives together.

This retreat offers an opportunity to explore where you are on your journey using creative spiritual practices and guided group discussions that will include prayer, play, worship and fellowship. It also will include time to truly retreat for rest, relaxation and spiritual nourishment.  The venue is the lovely Wisdom House, where the beautiful setting will enhance the experience. Our retreat leader, the Andrea McDonough, will encourage and inspire you to continue your spiritual journey, enriched by your fellow pilgrims along the way—your Saint Luke’s sisters.

THe Forum

Our weekly adult formation offering has a new name: Pathways is now “The Forum”! Designed to delve deeply into the big questions of what it means to live as Christians in our contemporary society, the Forum is a space to engage with our clergy and special guest presenters about the things that matter most. Join us for Zoom coffee hour after the 10:00 AM Eucharist, and stay for stimulating conversations with thought leaders from around the country.

This fall, our overarching theme will be “Living Word: How the Sriptures lead us into action.” As 21st century Christians wrestle with the issues of the day, the Bible continues to inspire and challenge us as we seek to live out our faith. Come join us.

Men's Retreat

The Men’s Retreat is an annual event that takes place every April.

Meets in the Taylor Room on alternating Wednesdays at 2:00PM for women to discuss mutual interests and concerns in the light of faithful Christianity.

Mothers of young children, birth through middle-school, meet to share wisdom, laughter and fellowship around the joys and challenges of being Moms.  Whether discussing Brene Brown’s Daring Greatly or Jesus’ parable of the lost sheep, we look to combine the practical with the prayerful, the humdrum with the holy.

All are welcome! Babysitting is available.

Join us on the first Thursday of each month, October-May at 1PM in the Anderson Youth & Community Center. We come together for inspirational presentations followed by discussion in order to connect, celebrate, question and share our journeys.

Meets monthly for mothers of adults and teens gather to walk together on the journey of motherhood.

The Meditation Group meets weekly for a brief reading, a chant and 20 minutes of silent meditation. All are welcome. No experience is needed – only the willingness to sit in silence for 20 minutes! We also offer individual instruction or help, so just contact us to arrange a time that works for you.
