Introducing a New Schedule for Programs for Children, Youth & Music

This Fall, we will offer a coordinated schedule of mid-week “Sunday School” & Children’s Programs for pre-K through Grade 8:

4:00pm – 5:15pm on Wednesdays

Doors open at 3:45pm | Snack will be provided

This new schedule offers children & youth a reliable mid-week recharge – they will participate in activities, learn Bible stories & lessons, talk about faith, spend time with friends, and ask some big questions – all in the warm and supportive Saint Luke’s environment.

Confirmation, Youth Group, and elements of the SLP programs like Bible Builders & Living the Word that kids love will be built into the ‘Sunday School’ portion of the block of time, and there’s an easy option to participate in – or try out – singing in the Choir as well! And parents, coordinated timing offers easier drop offs & pick ups!

We hope this new schedule will encourage your family to plan for faith formation & spend your Wednesdays at Saint Luke’s. Register now!

What Does Our New Schedule Look Like?

Pre-K to 5th Grade:

  • 3:45pm – Drop-off & Snack
  • 4-5:15pm – Midweek “Sunday School” Program with Choir Option*
    • includes Choir, Living the Word, Bible Builders, StoryMakers, and Club 45.

  • 4-5:15 – Midweek “Sunday School” Offerings
    • includes Confirmation, Youth Group, Chick Chat, etc.

High School Youth Group (9th-12th grade):

  • High School meetings will remain on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, meeting from 6-7:30pm in the AYCC.
  • High School students gather on the 2nd Sunday of the month for large group time and the 4th Sunday of the month for small groups.
  • Volunteer opportunities and additional offerings will be planned and occur throughout the program year.

Some helpful notes:

  • We know some students will be arriving late due to school dismissal times. After registration we will share a student list to help with carpools from all schools.
  • We will also have special Middle School events (like movie nights, laser tag, etc.) throughout the year held outside the Wednesday schedule.

Sing with Our Choirs

One benefit of our new schedule is that it’s easier for children to participate in – or try out – singing in our choir program, as our St. Nicholas & St. Cecilia choirs will meet as part of our Wednesdays at Saint Luke’s schedule. All students in PreK-5th Grade are invited to participate in these choirs.

The Saint Luke’s choir program provides young singers with age-appropriate vocal training, excellent Christian and music education, community building skills, and unique performance opportunities. Our youngest singers rehearse weekly and sing at Family Worship, Christmas Eve, Palm Sunday, and at SongFest. Older singers always join them and additionally sing at Advent Lessons & Carols and a bit more often for 10am worship.

Our Wednesdays at Saint Luke’s schedule has a built-in option to sing with the St. Cecilia’s choir (Grades 3-5, rehearsing from 4-4:45pm) and the St. Nicholas’ choir (Grades Pre-K to 2nd, rehearsing from 4:45-5:15pm). Students may sign up for trimester sessions (Fall, Winter, Spring) or for the entire year.

There is an additional fee for choir ($160/year or $50/trimester) to provide vestments, music, and other materials. Scholarships are available, please contact David Pulliam.

Registration is Available Now

Plan in faith formation for your child(ren) and register for Wednesdays at Saint Luke’s now. Much more detail, and registration for all programs for all ages, are available by clicking HERE.

Registration and payment for all parish programs is up and running on our online membership platform, Realm, offering one integrated platform that enables us to always have important information like contact details and allergy information available for children and youth participating at Saint Luke’s and eliminates the credit card service fees charged by online platforms like Square, which means more resources will flow into these parish programs.

NOTE: You do not have to log into the Realm platform to register; you will have the option to check out as a guest. However, if the system recognizes your email, it will offer you the opportunity to log in to Realm. If you don’t have or don’t remember your password, simply click ‘forgot password.’  The great thing is that if you do log into Realm when signing up, any updates you make will be saved in your parish profile.
