“Light Has Dawned: Singing the Gospel in Luke

Sundays | 9am | Parish Hall

The first two chapters of Luke’s Gospel include four ancient hymns that echo with hope, proclaiming God’s mercy, justice, and redemption through the birth of Christ. These hymns have become the backbone of the church’s worship throughout the centuries. This Advent, discover what they might teach us about living as a people whose hope is set on Christ.

Advent Quiet Evening

Need a moment of quiet in this busy season? Join us for an Advent Quiet Evening in the Chapel. The Rev. Benjamin Straley, an Episcopal priest and former organist at the Washington National Cathedral, will lead us: “A Rose Ever Blooming: Songs and Readings of Hope and Expectation.” No need to RSVP–and bring a friend!

Festive Cookie Exchange – New this year!

Carol Sing & Holiday Dinner

All are welcome for an evening of singing favorite Christmas carols in the church, followed by a catered dinner in the AYCC, including a “special visitor” who may surprise the children with a visit!

“Santa’s Little Helpers” Parents’ Morning Out

Saturday, December 20 | 10am-1pm | AYCC | Registration coming early December

Our Youth Group will host a Christmas-themed Parents Morning Out for children age 3 (and potty trained) to 5th grade. There will be games, a Christmas movie, crafts, and lunch. The cost is $40/child and $15/each additional child in the family.

Christmas Pageant

Join us for this annual celebration, as our children and youth re-tell the timeless story of Christ’s birth in Bethlehem. Friends and family are welcome.

Epiphany Baby Shower for Jesus 

Sunday, January 4, 2026 | 10am worship | Church

Help us celebrate the wise men bringing gifts to Jesus by bringing new baby items like diapers, bottles, onesies, & swaddle blankets to a celebratory collection at 10am worship. These items will be provided to mothers at the hospital as part of the P2P Baby Basics program.

Make Your Christmas Flowers & Music Dedications

Saint Luke’s has a tradition of celebrating the Nativity of Christ with music, flowers, and altar adornments to beautify our Christmas worship. You are invited to participate in sponsoring these gifts to one another and honoring loved ones, whose names will be printed in a special insert in our Christmas Worship Bulletins. The suggested contribution is $75 per listing, and multiple listings are welcome.

We look forward to sharing the joy and wonder of Christmas with you. Whether you attend church here regularly, are visiting for the holidays, or are simply looking to add a spiritual component to your Christmas celebrations, we invite you to worship with us. We have different service styles and times, in person and live-streamed, to choose from: 

December 24Christmas Eve

3 pm Children’s Service*Holy Eucharist with carols and retelling of the Christmas story in the Church. This is a service especially for children birth to Grade 3. Nursery care is available.
3 pm Come As You Are*Holy Eucharist in a more casual setting, with band & sermon. Held in the Anderson Youth & Community Center. Nursery care is available.
5 pm Lessons & Carols* – A service of Christmas carols and scripture readings, with sermon. Music by Saint Luke’s Choristers, organ, and brass in the Church. Nursery care is available.
5 pm Candlelit Communion – A contemplative Holy Eucharist in the Chapel with sermon and carols.
7:30 pm Festal Eucharist*Holy Eucharist with sermon, organ, brass, and choir in the Church. A musical prelude & seating for this service begins at 7 pm.
10 pm  Festal Eucharist Holy Eucharist with sermon, organ, brass, and choir in the Church. A musical prelude & seating for this service begins at 9:30 pm.

December 25  – Christmas Day

The Nursery will be open, however there will be no Children’s Chapel or Godly Play at 10am.  There is no 5pm CAYA today.
