are you new?

Welcome to Saint Luke’s Parish!

Whether you’re looking for a new church home or are just curious about what Saint Luke’s has to offer, we hope you’ll visit on a Sunday and experience what this place is really like. Don’t let the old stone buildings mislead you. We’re a vibrant community of twenty-first century Christians, seeking guidance, inspiration and the support of a loving community.

No matter who you are, we welcome you. Everyone—of every age, race, ethnicity, culture, gender, sexual orientation,
gender identity, physical or mental ability, or economic status—is  accepted and embraced as a friend.

Traditional yet lively, this is the service when Church School is in session and the choirs sing.  Parents drop off children for Church School at 9:50, and the children rejoin the congregation for communion. The service typically runs about an hour.

faq

Saint Luke’s Parish welcomes all people to visit our church and become a member, irrespective of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, economic circumstances, ethnicity or religious tradition. At the same time, we want to ensure that anyone considering membership makes a knowing, purposeful decision to join and, by joining, makes a commitment to live in a growing relationship with God and with others in the family of God. Accordingly, we ask newcomers, who wish to become members, to attend a brief orientation and a welcome service. We also offer a social dinner at the Rectory, where newcomers can get to know parishioners. Please contact us at 203-655-1456 or stlukesdariennewcomers@gmail.com for more information.

Couples may be married at Saint Luke’s Church or Chapel. It is our custom to plan weddings in advance. At least one of the persons being married needs to have been baptized. Preparation includes the opportunity to attend our Engaged Workshop and three sessions of pre-marital counseling. All inquiries may be made through the church office at 203-655-1456 or Cindy.Scam@saintlukesdarien.org.

Our address is 1864 Post Road, Darien, CT 06820, at the corner of Rings End Road and the Post Road. The main driveway for the church is off Rings End Road and leads to our parking lot at the back of the church.  We have four main buildings on our campus: the Church, the parish offices, the Youth & Community Center, and Person-2-Person.

Clergy are available for pastoral support and planning burial or funeral arrangements. Those who wish to memorialize a loved one may make contributions to the Book of Remembrance, Sunday Altar Flowers Program or Holiday Music Program. Ashes of parishioners may be interred in the Saint Luke’s Columbarium. For more information, please call the parish office at 203-655-1456 or email Cindy.Scam@saintlukesdarien.org.
